Documentation of MOT implication

Work Zone & Traffic Control Analysis

FDOT-Certified in Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic)

Florida's work zones are among the most dangerous stretches of road in the state. When a crash happens inside a TTC zone, the question is rarely just “who hit whom” — it's whether the traffic control plan met FDOT standards, whether channelizing devices and signage were deployed correctly, whether lighting and taper lengths were adequate, and whether the work zone conditions contributed to the crash.

What We Do

Documentation of MOT design and implications if a crash occurs

Work Zone Crash Reconstruction

Full reconstruction of crashes that occurred within or adjacent to a Temporary Traffic Control zone, including EDR downloads, drone mapping, 3D modeling, and scene documentation. Every element — advance warning, transition, activity, termination — is evaluated against the TTC plan that was in effect at the time of the crash.

MOT Plan Review and Compliance Analysis

Independent review of Temporary Traffic Control plans against the FDOT Design Standards (Index 102 series), the MUTCD, and the project's contract documents. We identify deviations between the approved plan and field conditions, and document whether those deviations contributed to the incident.

Work Zone Site Documentation

On-scene drone photography, measurements, device inventory, and sign spacing verification — performed quickly after an incident so that the conditions captured reflect what was actually there at the time of the crash, not what was in place days later.

Expert Witness Testimony

Deposition and trial testimony on work zone design, Temporary Traffic Control deployment, and the relationship between TTC conditions and driver behavior. Reports are written to be usable in litigation from the first draft.

Pre-Claim and Pre-Litigation Review for Contractors

Confidential review of TTC setup and incident documentation immediately following a reportable work zone crash, before claims and subpoenas arrive. The time to understand your exposure is before the plaintiff's expert shows up, not after.

WHY FDOT Certification Matters

Many reconstructionists can tell you what happened in a crash. Far fewer can tell you whether the work zone itself complied with the Florida Design Standards that the contractor was bound to follow. The FDOT Temporary Traffic Control (Maintenance of Traffic)

Work zone crashes move fast from incident to litigation.

The earlier a qualified expert documents the scene, the stronger the record.
